On one of the presented researches on Cyberstalking, by Bocij, the author claims that 41 percent of victims were aged between eighteen to thirty years old. This frame of ages represents mostly college students, and young adults. 61.5 percent of the victims are women. |
The numbers of victims are increasing. On statistics shown on the Working to Halt Online Abuse (WHOA) website, we can see that in the beginning of the problem, in 2004, that WHOA recorded 196 different cases of cyber-stalking. In their most recent research, in 2012, the organization found 394 cases. |
